FLASHBACK: EXT. AN ESTATE

Midday, high angle shot to see the whole estate as a whole in one shot.

VOICE OVER OF AYDEN:
My name is Ayden. I’m 15 years old.

My mum has cancer and my dad doesn’t want anything

to do with us.

I got to get this money.

I got to take care of my mum.

Time to man up, even if that means I gotta

risk my life.

FLASHBACK: EXT. STREET

Ayden and his friend are both in their uniform and wearing a backpack making their way to school. One wearing a jacket without being zipped up fully so can see the tie.

FLASHBACK: EXT. STREET

2 gangsters approach Ayden and his friend. No dialogue, one gangster pulls out a blue bag and makes a convincing face whereas the friend is looking scared. Ayden shakes his head and the gangster shrugs his shoulders.

FLASHBACK: INT. ROOM, ON A BED

Ayden kisses a hand which has nail polish on it so audience can
identify it’s a woman. Hand looks quite aged.

FLASHBACK: INT. HOSPITAL

EXT. IN A PARK. GRAFFITI ON WALL BEHIND

The 4 gangsters are standing about and laughing, making jokes with each other with their hoods or caps on whilst in tracksuits and trainers and some have gloves on. Ayden comes from behind them.

AYDEN

Where’s Elijah?

The 4 gangsters turn around and instantly recognise Ayden. One of them walks towards Ayden.

GANGSTER 1

Yoo Ayden, what you saying g?

Everything good yeh?

AYDEN

Ayy, nuttin g. Listen, I want to do this

ting with you lot. I need some money to pay

for my mum’s treatment.

Gangster 1 isn’t Elijah but agrees to give Ayden the job.

GANGSTER 1

Here fam. Don’t let me down.

I’ma tell Elijah you came by.

AYDEN

Safe bro.

Gangster 1 gives Ayden a blue bag.

INT. IN A BLOCK OF FLATS

High angle shot of Ayden running down the staircase in his jacket and backpack.

EXT. ESTATE, OUTSIDE HIS BLOCK

A point of view shot of Ayden’s sight when he steps foot out of his block-early in the morning. Title “Problematic” appears on top of shot.

EXT. OUTSIDE THE SHOP (ROOSTERS)

Ayden meets his friend outside the corner shop. They ‘spud’ each other.

INT. INSIDE THE SHOP(ROOSTERS)

They are at the till and the friend thinks they’re paying separately      for the products.

AYDEN

Don’t watch fam, I got

you. I’m making that real

paper now.

Ayden lightly slaps his friend’s bottom as a joke, which signifies      their friendship.

AYDEN AND FRIEND START LAUGHING

Ayden’s phone rings as the cashier gives their change, incoming call from Elijah.

EXT. LEAVING THE SHOP

Ayden answers his phone as he leaves the shop, his friend isn’t beside him, he’s busy collecting the change/food.

AYDEN (Phone call)

Yo g, what’s good?

ELIJAH

Listen, come buck me in

20 mins at the spot. Don’t be telling

anybody though.

Ayden puts the phone in his pocket whilst his friend approaches him.

FRIEND

Who was it?

AYDEN

Elijah. Listen I’ll catch you in a bit.

FRIEND

Ayt.

The friend slaps Ayden’s bottom as he turns around. Ayden walks off with a smile and shakes his head.

EXT. STREET

Long shot of Ayden walking down the street walking into the alley/subway. Looks over his shoulder to assure nobody is watching him.

Elijah walks towards him. Point of view shot from Ayden.

Elijah and Ayden ‘spud’ each other.

ELIJAH (Whilst doing a head nod)

Come.

EXT. STREET

Ayden opens the car door.

Ayden and Elijah are in the car listening to rap music.

Ayden is texting some girls on his phone whilst Elijah nods his head       to the music.

EXT. IN A PARK. GRAFFITI BEHIND

The female gangster pulls a suspicious face.

FEMALE GANGSTER

Something is dodgy with that

Ayden boy I swear.

EXT. IN THE CAR

Point of view from Ayden looking at Elijah.

ELIJAH

I’m impressed with you. Been

putting in that work.

Ayden looks towards Elijah, nods his head, gives a small cunning smile and winks at him.

Close-up shot of Elijah’s face giving Ayden a dirty look and then looks the other way. Ayden then slowly moves his hand onto Elijah’s and tries to hold it. Elijah quickly moves his hand away and repeats himself.

ELIJAH

Bruv, I said what dyou think you’re doing?

AYDEN

Nuttin g nuttin

Elijah carries on driving until they reach their destination. (long-shot of them in the car) Theres no dialogue at this moment as things are awkward due to Ayden touching Elijah’s hand.

AYDEN

Ayo Elijah where you at??

Silence. Ayden walks on slowly and finds the group of gangsters around the corner. He sees them with harsh facial expressions portrayed on their face.

GANGSTER 1

Yo Ayden come here now!

GANGSTER 2

Grab him

AYDEN

What have I done?

Close-up of Ayden’s face. He realises the gangsters are there to beat him up and so runs away.

FEMALE GANGSTER

He’s running away! Come let’s get him

Long-shot of the gangsters chasing Ayden and grab hold of him. They chuck him on the floor. Gangster 1 grabs hold of his hoodie and throws a punch in the camera. Black out.
