Mise-en-scene:
Setting:The opening sequence of this scene is generally based in a place enhanced with nature in the countryside, this maybe to make the two protagonists relationship seem pure and unique with genuine intentions. Furthermore the setting may also highlight their personalities, to be tender and open. However towards the end the peace is violently disturbed as we can see the tension ending off as a cliff hanger as well asas the fact that there is police involved.
lighting:The lighting is high key lighting which contributes to the natural imagery and the setting. The lighting in the sequence makes it clear to see details of the close ups as well as the other shots. Towards the end of the clip the lighting begins to darken, this goes hand in hand with the natural time of day, in this case night. chiaroscuro is used to create an enigma code and create a sinister affect purely because there is low key lighting. furthermore the silhouette created at the end of the clip caused by back lighting triggers a sinister less comfortable effect.
Audience: This drama is obviously not for children because of the intense interaction however may be aimed at people aged 17-30. The bright lights that flash in the clip may depict that it is not for people with sensitive eye sight i.e older people. The social group that this fall into is ABC2 and people who are interested in the genre of 'romance' and 'action', because of the drama and enigma and action codes place in the clip.
Make up and costume:The make up seems very dim and this is significant because it reinforces the natural theme being in forced throughout the drama, this may also play an important role in the narrative. At a point of the sequence the actors are not wearing clothes and this again may enhance the natural state of man and can be embedded into the narrative. However the nudity could imply the purpose of the age restriction, the removal of clothing may in fact create a atmosphere of loss and lust together which creates a further enigma code. The police costume connotes some sort of criminal behaviour is inevitable in the narrative.
Props:The energetic horse and fire sparks create a sense of urgency which builds up to the narrative and provides an enigma code that something pacey may occur.
Facial expressions and body language:The facial expressions definitely create a sense of ambiguity because it switches from tense to poker face to hints of a smile, this creates an enigma code. the plain facial expression may say a lot about them, we can suture into the narrative because we can identify with them. The body language seemed very stressed and like he had to be somewhere, the fact that he was running and she was slyly escaping portrays there is something they were trying to get away from this may be something criminalised.
Sound:There is diagetic sounds from the sequence such as the birds singing ,the wind whistling, the bees buzzing, crows squarqing and even the jingle of the necklace when it is dropped. In contrast there is non-diagetic sound which was added during post production to add extra effect and to suture into the narrative, making the lyrics of the sound slightly relevant to what is going on in the scenes. Whispers create an enigma code and reinforce the sinister effect towards the end of the sequence.
Camera Work:The camera work has been used very remarkably well. Close shots have been used to identify with the character through their facial expressions, this allows us to suture into the narrative and gain a better understanding of what the character may be facing such as the tense facial expressions of the man whilst running and the relaxed expression of the female walking through the forest. Medium shots and long shots have also been eembeddedinto the the sequence. Lastly long shots have been used to establish the setting for the audience to identify with.

The amazing spiderman

The camera work used to display this opening sequence to 'the amazing spider man' are used to gain a better understanding of the narrative. for example shot reverse shot is effectively used to suture with the protagonist, this may generate comedy but also make us feel sympathy for him as he is going out of this way to help humanity and is being treated in a disrespectful manner. This technique can also be applied to the second man presented into the narrative. High key lighting is used in the initial stages of the clip however as the sequence progresses it beings to darken this is to create emphasis on the evil side vs the good side, moreover allows us to create a vague idea about the narrative. There are diegetic sounds used in the sequence to add to the realism of the movie and narrative and incorporate better understanding of the current scene. Furthermore non-diegetic sounds which are added through post production is also added to make the clip more enjoyable and relaxed when needed, as this plays with the viewers mood. The audience may range from 15-25 year olds and be for working class /C people. This movies genre is action and comedy. The costume Spider man is wearing is to not reveal who he is as he is living the best of both worlds (like Hannah Montana) this creates an enigma code as the viewers would like to be enlightened to find out who he is and what his actual purpose is which is revealed gradually into the film.

The walking dead

Setting: The opening sequence of this clip is set in both indoors and outdoor, during the course of outdoor filming the area looks very isolated, which may contribute to the narrative being sinister. Moreover pathetic fallacy is used as it is windy and this could further reinforce the threatening atmosphere. When the filming is taking place inside, the place looks messy and corrupt which may portray disturbance and dis equilibrium in the narrative, which leads on to an enigma code. who or what could have done this? it has affected an entire town.
Lighting: Throughout opening introduction low key lighting is kept consistent, this enhances the audiences opinion on the  spine chilling daunting context we are in. The fact that the opening sequence is nearly all colourless creates another enigma code suggesting something more colourful is about to appear which may cause an even bigger disequilibrium or bring hope to the situation. The light shade of the clip creates chiaroscuro which strengthens the eerie atmosphere. Back lighting and filler lighting is used to make the subject appear more 'rounded' and the filler lighting is gently used to soften any shadows that may be created, However the key light is usually on the centre or vertices of the scene this makes the scene look more ominous and baleful. The flash also play an important role in the opening scene of this particular clip as it depicts an authoritative, in control feel which could lead us to question whether the authority and control is in the right hands.
Props: Some of the props used in the sequence are things like a teddy bare left on the floor alone, the teddy connotes innocence as it is usually held by a young child or baby, this may suggest that the peace has been taken away from the innocent people. Furthermore there is a waving American flag which may indicate to patriotism, especially because in the shot it is the only object in colour.
Costumes Hair and Make up/ facial expressions and body language:  there are no specific characters in the opening scene, the absence of them however could create an enigma code or portray the lonely, isolated atmosphere in its self. Regardless of that, there are picture of people on a newspaper and a person on a picture frame, they could be a part of the conflict or may even be the protagonists. The fact that they are on the news paper could suggest something mysterious or that they have done something extraordinary in the narrative.
Sound: The diagetic sound is very pacey which has been deliberately used to enhance the enigma, this has been added during post production. Furthermore suspense is created when the sound gets louder and faster, the audience begins to  suture within the sequence and feel as though something daunting and rather unusual is about to take place in the narrative.
Editing: the editing has created an amazing affect on the narrative as it has built up an enigma code, this be because of the style of editing, straight cuts, fade outs, wipes and even jump cuts have been unexpectedly used to divert the attention of the audience and focus it else where. The editing conveys a direct meaning by displaying the shots like this, to alarm the audience and advocates a menacing atmosphere which could contribute to the narrative.
Target audience: the target audience is 15-30 year olds purely because of how scary it seems, it would not be targeted at a younger audience because of the indication to a thoughtful meaningful narrative.

Teen wolf:

Setting: In this opening sequence the setting is different with the introduction of each character, for example the first protagonist introduced is in a sandy area, who pushes away the sand to display his strength maybe. A similarity in the introduction of each character has a black ground which could suggest something, unrevealing about them, which may have an impact on the narrative, the characters may not want to give away a lot about themselves this early in the sequence which triggers an enigma code.
Lighting: the lighting of this sequence is definitely low key lighting throughout the clip, there is key lighting produced onto the centre of the character, this maybe to portray an enigma on each of them and share a sense of personality through the thorough identification of each of them as the lighting allows us to see their facial expressions and suture into some part of the shot a silhouette ,this outline creates a mysterious enigma code and drawer the audiences attention in order to understand the narrative properly. Lighting also plays a key aspect in this piece because it creates a dramatic effect this can be seen due to the recurrence of the key lighting being from an angle and not a specifically directly from in front, this may also be to show only some parts of the figure. Furthermore chiaroscuro is embedded into the clip to emphasise the sinister feel. Back lighting was used to counteract the key lighting and make the figure seem more rounded.
Audience: The audience of  Teen Wolf aimed at ages 16-25, more of the working/middle class people, who range in the ABC2 category. This may be because of some of the violent scenes. The genre of the series are ones like supernatural, science fiction, mystery and sci-fi.
Make up and facial expressions: the facial expressions allow us to identify with the characters which gives the audience a better insight as to who they are and in order for us to suture into the narrative. The make up allows us to get full coverage of the characters/protagonists, it is kept natural so that it does not look out of the narrative. The facial expressions were very tensed and uncommonly a slight smile would appear on their faces, this may suggest the seriousness of the narrative and plot.
props: swords were used in this opening sequence, this is an iconic feature which connotes violence and even danger, which leads us to thinking that conflict will take place in the narrative. The clothing of the characters is almost mostly normal which allows us to identify with them and understand who they are and what their personalities are like eg, the boy mixing potions with casual clothing seems like a cleaver teenager who will potentially help with the bringing back equilibrium
Music: the were no diagetic sounds through the course of the clip however there was post production non diagetic sounds which is incorporated with parallel music. The music evolves faster throughout the sequence, this makes out heart beat faster and our minds play along with the pace of the parallel music, this ignites dramatic affect and tension throughout the clip.
Editing: The dramatic straight cuts and jump cuts reinforce the fast pace of the sequence. The slow motion affect has definitely creates a dramatic effect on the audience as it dramatically changes its pace from moving fast with the music to slow however still parallel to the music. This gives the audience a time to take in and identify with the protagonists. Editing was also made of use during the

Kildulthood:

setting: The opening sequence is set in a high school, which could stereotypically suggest malevolence, aslo the play ground is shown quite frequently during the opening scene ,however the atmosphere seems tense. This could suggest and furthermore foreshadow that characters in the narrative take something important and valuable and degrade it value to like a 'game'. The setting also includes tall surrounding building which could mirror the entrapped circumstances the protagonists could be in. Additionally the squared windows displayed in the background throughout the opening scene could reflect on how the school may be like a prison for them, this already tells the audience part of the attitude of the protagonists in the narrative. The fact that it is set in a typical London school suggests it is trying to relate to the youngsters situations and could be demonstrating or portraying them in a certain light from a certain ideology.
Lighting: Despite the fact that the opening scene is during the day most of the shots are low key which could demonstrate a disturbed dis equilibrium furthermore suggest a sense of sinister mysteriousness. The Negotiated reading (suggested by Stuart Hall) could be portraying young adults in a dark evil manner because of the lighting.
Audience: The audience would range from 15-23 this is so that the audience can relate to the characters and protagonists in the play, also it may be this high because it my include inappropriate scenes with sexual trigger or some foul language. Teenagers watching this will usually go to a standard London public school and would be watching it for entertainment
Make up and facial expression
Music: the non diegectic music is fast pace and gradually gets faster, although the beat is the same the tune changes according to the camera movement, this creates emphasis on the specific shot diminishing even the thought of the audience of becoming bored of it. Furthermore the the overlap of the characters voice and the music, has been added to make the scene more dramatic and also to keep an upbeat emotion in the audience. Moreover this has also been done to create an enigma code, this has been reinforced due to the pace of the music.
props: The props in this opening sequence is interlinked with the setting of the scene, the characters are wearing school unifrom. the fact that they are wearing school uniform suggests the representation of age and could portray teenagers in a certain light, in this case rebellious and imprudent which no intention of learning or concentrating in education, rather parting and fighting however, the fact that they are passionately playing football suggests an alternative interpretation of it.
